Radius cleans house in sustainable packaging.
Flip, mix, and clean. It’s that simple when it comes to Replenish, a highly concentrated, all-purpose cleaner. But that’s not what piqued Radius. The unique characteristic of the Replenish product is in the system approach; the entire package and delivery system was conceived, designed, and realized as a reusable and recyclable system. The concept sold itself and Radius teamed up with the Replenish, Nypro Inc., and Eastman Chemical Company to create the Replenish spray bottle with replaceable pods.

Each replaceable pod provides four times as much cleaner than typical household spray cleaners and the main delivery system can be reused many times over, reducing the plastic content going to the landfill by 90%.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
The Replenish program challenged Radius to incorporate the use of not only readily recyclable materials but also materials desired for recycling, as well as to minimize the handling of materials, including transportation between operations.
With the Replenish spray bottle system, the consumer dilutes the concentrate with water from the home, eliminating costs for processing, handling, storing, and transporting water within the bottle, causing a ripple effect of reducing freight by 16 to 20 times over standard single-use bottles. Less freight means a smaller physical footprint, manifesting as fewer trucks on the road, approximately one for every 15 required with traditional cleaners.
The concentrate solutions are biodegradable and safe for humans and pets. Each replaceable pod provides four times as much cleaner than typical household spray cleaners and the main delivery system can be reused many times over, reducing the plastic content going to the landfill by 90%.
The Replenish system has been designed in PET, the most sought after material by recyclers. The pods, sprayer, and bottle can be recycled by simply throwing them in most recycling containers at the end of life.
Leaks and Geeks
Radius was also tasked to engineer a system that allowed the forward flow of fluid (concentrate) while preventing the backward flow of fluid, but not air. Due to the intricate and specific design requirements of high-precision, complex interfaces, mechanical delivery system and assemblies, parts were precision molded and ultrasonically welded to create a structure that ensured a fluid-tight seal.
Concept Spurs Business
Today, Replenish offers an award-winning sustainable cleaning system in a variety of bottle shapes. Replenish’s success has launched the no-compromise, sustainable packaging bottle company Replenish Bottling Company, dedicated to providing reusable plastic bottle manufacturing solutions to companies needing containers for their liquid consumer products.
Innovation. Realized through smart, sustainable thinking.
